Repeat Prescriptions

Prescription requests received after 3 pm will require 72 hours notice. It is very important that patients attend for their annual Birthday check up, as this avoids a delay in getting prescription requests authorised.

With Patient Access, you can now access your local GP services at home, work or on the move — wherever you can connect to the internet. What's more, because Patient Access is a 24-hour online service you can do this in your own time, day or night.

If you haven't yet received your registration details from the surgery then you can request them from the reception staff who will be more than happy to help.

If you would like to collect your medication directly from a chemist rather than coming to the surgery to pick your prescription up then going to the chemist, you can nominate a chemist of your choice and we will send your prescription there directly.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
